How it works
Seven simple steps. Most clinics only need the equipment in steps 4 and 5 to get started; everything else is optional or already in your office.
1. We provide the software
Download SteriVault and install it on one clinic computer. It is free to start: your first 50 cycles cost nothing. After that, support and updates are C$99 a month, with unlimited cycles and sterilizers.
2. What you need: a regular computer
Any Windows 10 or 11 computer that stays on at the front desk or in the sterilization room. Every other computer, tablet or phone in the clinic opens SteriVault in a web browser.
3. Optional: a touchscreenOptional
A wall-mounted touchscreen next to the sterilizer lets the team start and finish cycles with a tap, without walking to a computer.
4. A Zebra label printer (we recommend the network model)
We recommend the Zebra ZD411 with Ethernet. It sits on your clinic network, so every computer can print labels to it, and if one computer dies you keep printing from another. A USB-only version of the same printer costs less, but it is tied to the one computer it is plugged into, so we recommend the network one.
5. A scanner in each operatory
A hands-free desktop scanner at each chair, about C$90 each. Scan the label on the bag and the instrument is linked to the visit.
6. Recommended label rolls
2 x 1 in direct thermal labels, compatible with the Zebra printer. One order of 10 rolls lasts a long time.
7. A wall mount for the touchscreenOptional
A full-motion arm that holds the monitor at the sterilizer at a comfortable height.
